Therefore since we ourselves (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st), let us also lay aside every impediment, and the sin that so easily distracts, and let us run with endurance the race that is prescribed for us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st),

for God had provided something better with us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) in mind, so that they should not reach their goal apart from us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st).

But we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) are not of those who shrink back and are lost, but are of those who are faithful and so preserve their soul.

For if we (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) deliberately persist in sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins,

a way that is new and living, which he opened for us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,

And the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st), for after saying,

For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with hands, that was a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) behalf.

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) conscience from dead works to worship the living God!

For such a high priest was appropriate for us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st), one who is holy, innocent, undefiled; having been separated from sinners, he became exalted above the heavens.

For it is perfectly clear that our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) Lord is descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.
