Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it stands written, ‘You (proskynēseis | προσκυνήσεις | fut act ind 2 sg) shall (proskynēseis | προσκυνήσεις | fut act ind 2 sg) worship (proskynēseis | προσκυνήσεις | fut act ind 2 sg) the Lord your God and serve him alone.’”

and he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you (proskynēsēs | προσκυνήσῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) will (proskynēsēs | προσκυνήσῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) fall down and worship (proskynēsēs | προσκυνήσῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) me.”

Upon entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and falling to their knees they worshiped (prosekynēsan | προσεκύνησαν | aor act ind 3 pl) him. Then opening their treasure chests, they presented him with gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

Then he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child; and when you have found him, report back to me, so that I also may go and worship (proskynēsō | προσκυνήσω | aor act subj 1 sg) him.”

saying, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star at its rising and have come to worship (proskynēsai | προσκυνῆσαι | aor act inf ) him.”

So he brought a linen shroud, and taking him down, he wrapped him in the linen shroud and laid him in a tomb, which had been hewn out of rock; and he rolled (prosekylisen | προσεκύλισεν | aor act ind 3 sg) a stone across the entrance of the tomb.

and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. Then he rolled (proskylisas | προσκυλίσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) a large stone against (proskylisas | προσκυλίσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) the door of the tomb and went away.

and, “A stone that makes people stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble (proskoptousin | προσκόπτουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl), as they were destined to do, since they do not obey the word.

It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine or to do anything that makes (proskoptei | προσκόπτει | pres act ind 3 sg) your brother stumble (proskoptei | προσκόπτει | pres act ind 3 sg).

Why not? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled (prosekopsan | προσέκοψαν | aor act ind 3 pl) over the stumbling stone,
