For all the prophets and the law prophesied (eprophēteusan | ἐπροφήτευσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) until John;

On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did (eprophēteusamen | ἐπροφητεύσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) we (eprophēteusamen | ἐπροφητεύσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) not prophesy (eprophēteusamen | ἐπροφητεύσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’

and if anyone should take away from the words of the book of this prophecy (prophēteias | προφητείας | gen sg fem), God will take away his share from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are described in this book.

I bear witness to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy (prophēteias | προφητείας | gen sg fem) of this book: if anyone should add to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book;

Then he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy (prophēteias | προφητείας | gen sg fem) of this book, for the time is near.

“Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy (prophēteias | προφητείας | gen sg fem) of this book.”

Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony about Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony about Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (prophēteias | προφητείας | gen sg fem)

These two witnesses have the power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophesying (prophēteias | προφητείας | gen sg fem), and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they wish.

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy (prophēteias | προφητείας | gen sg fem), and those who hear and keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

for prophecy (prophēteia | προφητεία | nom sg fem) never had its origin in the will of man, but men borne along by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
