Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you through prophecy (prophēteias | προφητείας | gen sg fem) with the laying on of the hands of the body of elders.
This command I am entrusting to you, child Timothy, in accordance with the prophecies (prophēteias | προφητείας | acc pl fem) previously made about you, so that by them you might fight the good fight,
So then tongues are for a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy (prophēteia | προφητεία | nom sg fem) is not for unbelievers but for believers.
But as it is, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I impart to you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy (prophēteia | προφητείᾳ | dat sg fem) or teaching?
Love never comes to an end. But if there are prophecies (prophēteiai | προφητεῖαι | nom pl fem), they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.
And if I have the gift of prophecy (prophēteian | προφητείαν | acc sg fem), and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
to another performance of miracles, to another prophecy (prophēteia | προφητεία | nom sg fem), to another discerning of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues.
having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us. If your gift is prophecy (prophēteian | προφητείαν | acc sg fem), then prophesy in proportion to your faith;
