The sun will be turned into darkness (skotos | σκότος | acc sg neut) and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

And the basis for judging is this, that light has come into the world and people love darkness (skotos | σκότος | acc sg neut) rather than light, because their deeds are evil.

It was already only about the sixth hour but darkness (skotos | σκότος | nom sg neut) covered the whole land until the ninth hour,

Day after day, when I was in the temple, you did not stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the hour for the power of darkness (skotous | σκότους | gen sg neut).

Therefore consider whether the ‘light’ that is in you is not darkness (skotos | σκότος | nom sg neut).

to shine on those who sit in darkness (skotei | σκότει | dat sg neut) and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

And when the sixth hour had come, darkness (skotos | σκότος | nom sg neut) fell over the whole land until the ninth hour.

And from the sixth hour there was darkness (skotos | σκότος | nom sg neut) over all the land until the ninth hour.

And throw the worthless servant into the outer darkness (skotos | σκότος | acc sg neut), where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Then the king said to his assistants, ‘Bind him foot and hand and foot and throw him out into outer darkness (skotos | σκότος | acc sg neut), where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
