but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness (skotos | σκότος | acc sg neut), where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

but if your eye is evil, your whole body will be filled with darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness (skotos | σκότος | nom sg neut), how great is that darkness! (skotos | σκότος | nom sg neut)

the people living in darkness (skotei | σκότει | dat sg neut) have seen a great light, and on those living in the region and shadow of death, a light has dawned.”

The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened (skotisthē | σκοτισθῇ | aor pass subj 3 sg); for a third of the day there was no light, and for a third of the night as well.

May their eyes be darkened (skotisthētōsan | σκοτισθήτωσαν | aor pass imperative 3 pl) so they cannot see, and keep their backs constantly bent.”

Even though they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their speculations and their foolish hearts were (eskotisthē | ἐσκοτίσθη | aor pass ind 3 sg) darkened (eskotisthē | ἐσκοτίσθη | aor pass ind 3 sg).

But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened (skotisthēsetai | σκοτισθήσεται | fut pass ind 3 sg), and the moon will not give its light,

“Immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened (skotisthēsetai | σκοτισθήσεται | fut pass ind 3 sg) and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness (skotia | σκοτίᾳ | dat sg fem); he walks in the darkness (skotia | σκοτίᾳ | dat sg fem) and does not know where he is going, because the darkness (skotia | σκοτία | nom sg fem) has blinded his eyes.

The one who claims to be in the light but goes on hating his brother is still in the darkness (skotia | σκοτίᾳ | dat sg fem).
