If then your whole body is full of light, having no part of it dark (skoteinon | σκοτεινόν | acc sg neut), it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp gives you light with its rays.”
Your eye is the lamp of the body. When your eye is sound, then your whole body is full of light, but when it is diseased, then your body is full of darkness (skoteinon | σκοτεινόν | nom sg neut).
but if your eye is evil, your whole body will be filled with darkness (skoteinon | σκοτεινόν | nom sg neut). If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
They had tails like scorpions (skorpiois | σκορπίοις | dat pl masc), with stingers; and their power to hurt people for five months lies in their tails.
