Jesus replied “Moses allowed you to divorce your wives because of the hardness (sklērokardian | σκληροκαρδίαν | acc sg fem) of your hearts (sklērokardian | σκληροκαρδίαν | acc sg fem); but it was not that way from the beginning.

Rejoice in that day, and leap (skirtēsate | σκιρτήσατε | aor act imperative 2 pl) for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way.

For behold, as the sound of your greeting came into my ear, the baby in my womb leaped (eskirtēsen | ἐσκίρτησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) for joy.

and when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped (eskirtēsen | ἐσκίρτησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) in her womb. Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit,

For since the law is but a shadow (skian | σκιάν | acc sg fem) of the good things to come and not the actual form of those realities, it can never perfect those who draw near by the same sacrifices which they offer continuously year after year.

The place where they serve is a shadowy (skia | σκιᾷ | dat sg fem) suggestion of the heavenly sanctuary, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for he said, “See that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
