And seeing at a distance a fig tree (sykēn | συκῆν | acc sg fem) in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. And when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
“Learn this parable from the fig (sykēs | συκῆς | gen sg fem) tree: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
And Jesus answered them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig (sykēs | συκῆς | gen sg fem) tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
When the disciples saw this, they were astonished and said, “How did the fig (sykē | συκῆ | nom sg fem) tree (sykē | συκῆ | nom sg fem) wither away so quickly?”

And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this sycamore (sykaminō | συκαμίνῳ | dat sg fem), ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
And although you were dead although were in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, your God made you alive (synezōopoiēsen | συνεζωοποίησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) you with Christ. He forgave us all our transgressions,
even though we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together (synezōopoiēsen | συνεζωοποίησεν | aor act ind 3 sg) with Christ — by grace you have been saved —
Yes, I ask you also, my true comrade (syzyge | σύζυγε | voc sg masc), help these women who have labored side by side with me in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
Where is the wise Where is the scholar? Where is the brilliant (syzētētēs | συζητητής | nom sg masc) debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
