But there rose up some of those of the synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called), both Cyrenians and Alexandrians, as well as those from Cilicia and Asia, disputing (syzētountes | συζητοῦντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) with Stephen.
While they were talking and debating (syzētein | συζητεῖν | pres act inf ) these things, it happened that Jesus himself drew near and walked along with them,
And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing (syzētountōn | συζητούντων | pres act ptcp gen pl masc). Seeing how well Jesus had answered them, he put this question to him: “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
And when they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them, and scribes arguing (syzētountas | συζητοῦντας | pres act ptcp acc pl masc) with them.
All the people were amazed, so that they asked (syzētein | συζητεῖν | pres act inf ) among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching new with authority! He even gives orders to unclean spirits unclean He gives orders and they obey him.”
