because the light of the sun had been eclipsed. The curtain of the temple was torn (eschisthē | ἐσχίσθη | aor pass ind 3 sg) down the middle.

He also told a parable to them: “No one tears (schisas | σχίσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old garment. If he does, he (schisei | σχίσει | fut act ind 3 sg) both tears (schisei | σχίσει | fut act ind 3 sg) the new, and the patch from the new will not match the old.

And the veil of the temple was torn (eschisthē | ἐσχίσθη | aor pass ind 3 sg) in two, from top to bottom.

And just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opening up (schizomenous | σχιζομένους | pres pass ptcp acc pl masc) and the Spirit as a dove descending on him.

but emptied himself, taking on the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of man. And being found in appearance (schēmati | σχήματι | dat sg neut) as a man

and those who use the world as though they were not absorbed in it. For the form (schēma | σχῆμα | nom sg neut) of this world is passing away.

In fact, according to the law almost (schedon | σχεδόν | adverb) everything is sprinkled with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost (schedon | σχεδόν | adverb) all of Asia this Paul has persuaded and turned away a considerable number of people, saying that gods made by hand are not gods at all.

On the following Sabbath almost (schedon | σχεδόν | adverb) the whole city assembled together to hear the word of the Lord.
