Now when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “My brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. It is regarding my hope of a resurrection for the dead that I am on trial.”
And Paul said, “I did not realize, brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | voc pl masc), that he was high priest; for it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’”
came to me, and standing there said to me, ‘Brother (adelphe | ἀδελφέ | voc sg masc) Saul, recover your sight.’ And at that very hour I recovered my sight and saw him.
