Therefore Pilate said to him, “So you are a king, then?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king! The reason for which I was born and have come into the world, is that I should bear (martyrēsō | μαρτυρήσω | aor act subj 1 sg) witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
