Just as the branch is not able to bear fruit by itself, unless it abides (menē | μένῃ | pres act subj 3 sg) in the vine, so neither can you unless you (menēte | μένητε | pres act subj 2 pl) abide (menēte | μένητε | pres act subj 2 pl) in me.
