By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which faith he was attested (emartyrēthē | ἐμαρτυρήθη | aor pass ind 3 sg) as righteous, God himself showing his approval (martyrountos | μαρτυροῦντος | pres act ptcp gen sg masc) by accepting his gifts. And though he died, he still speaks through his faith.
