Now the promises were (errethēsan | ἐρρέθησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) made (errethēsan | ἐρρέθησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) to Abraham and to his descendant. Scripture does (legei | λέγει | pres act ind 3 sg) not say (legei | λέγει | pres act ind 3 sg), “and to descendants,” referring to many, but “and to your descendant,” referring to one, who is Christ.
