So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast (lachōmen | λάχωμεν | aor act subj 1 pl) lots for it to see who will get it” — that the Scripture might be fulfilled that says, “They divided my garments among themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots.” So the soldiers did these things.
