After this Joseph of Arimathea, a disciple of Jesus (though a secret (kekrymmenos | κεκρυμμένος | perf pass ptcp nom sg masc) one due to his fear of the Jews) asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission, so he came and removed the body.
