Greek Word of the Day (BBG)
These words are the vocabulary taught in Basics of Biblical Greek. They are the words occurring 50 times or more in the New Testament. This list is in process of being made. κεφαλή
κεφαλῆς, ἡ (*κεφαλη)
κεφαλή means "head."
"The Son of Man has no place to lay his κεφαλή" (Luke 9:58).
γλῶσσα
γλώσσης, ἡ (*γλωσσα )
γλῶσσα means "tongue, language"
"We hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own γλῶσσα!" (Acts 2:11).
σάρξ
σαρκός, ἡ (*σαρκ)
σάρξ means "flesh, body"
"The Word became σάρξ and dwelt among us" (John 1:14).
