But we ought always to thank God for you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd), brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) as first fruits for salvation, by sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth.
Let no one deceive you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) in any way; for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
not to be quickly shaken out of your wits or disturbed, either by a prophecy or by a spoken word or by a letter purporting to come from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord is already here.
so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd), and you (hymeis | ὑμεῖς | nom pl 2nd) in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
With this in view we pray for you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) constantly, that our God will count you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) worthy of his calling, and by his power bring to fulfillment every good resolve and work of faith,
