Continue to obey your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) souls as those who must give an account. Let them do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd).
Continue to remember your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) leaders, those who spoke God’s message to you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd); reflect on the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.
Endure your trials as divine discipline. God is treating you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) as sons. For what son is there whom a father does not discipline?
And have you forgotten the word of encouragement that speaks to you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor lose heart when corrected by him.
Consider him who endured from sinners such opposition against himself, so that you may not grow weary in your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) souls and lose heart.
for in fact you shared the sufferings of those in prison, and with joy accepted the confiscation of your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) belongings, since you knew that you yourselves had a better and lasting possession.
