For God is not so unjust as to forget your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) work and the love you have demonstrated for his cause, when you served and continue to serve fellow believers.
But we are convinced of better things in your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) case, beloved — things that accompany salvation — even though we speak as we do.
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) again the basic elements of God’s revelation. You have become people needing milk, not solid food;
God again ordains a certain day — “today” — saying through David, after so long a time, just as it has been said before, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) hearts.”
Therefore while the promise of entering his rest is still open, let us fear lest any one of you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) may seem to be excluded from it.
But encourage one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
