Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) face to face and supply what is lacking in your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) faith.
For what thanksgiving can we return to God for you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd), for all the joy with which we rejoice before our God because of you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd)?
So in all our distress and affliction, brothers, we have been reassured about you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) by your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) faith.
But just now Timothy has come to us from you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd), and has brought us the good news of your faith and your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) love; and that you always think of us with affection and long to see us even as we long to see you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd).
So because I could bear it no longer, I sent to find out about your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) faith; for fear that somehow the tempter had tempted you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) and our labor had been in vain.
In fact, when we were with you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd), we told you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) in advance that we would suffer persecution; even as it has turned out, as you know.
and we sent Timothy, our brother and coworker for God in the gospel of Christ, to establish and encourage you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) in your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) faith,
