And he (hypetaxen | ὑπέταξεν | aor act ind 3 sg) placed (hypetaxen | ὑπέταξεν | aor act ind 3 sg) all things under Christ’s feet and gave him as head over all things to the church,
And when everything is subjected (hypotagē | ὑποταγῇ | aor pass subj 3 sg) to him, then the Son himself will (hypotagēsetai | ὑποταγήσεται | fut pass ind 3 sg) also be subjected (hypotagēsetai | ὑποταγήσεται | fut pass ind 3 sg) to the one who subjected (hypotaxanti | ὑποτάξαντι | aor act ptcp dat sg masc) everything to him, so that God may be all in all.
For “he (hypetaxen | ὑπέταξεν | aor act ind 3 sg) has (hypetaxen | ὑπέταξεν | aor act ind 3 sg) put (hypetaxen | ὑπέταξεν | aor act ind 3 sg) everything in subjection (hypetaxen | ὑπέταξεν | aor act ind 3 sg) under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything has been put in subjection,” (hypotetaktai | ὑποτέτακται | perf pass ind 3 sg) it is clear that this does not include the one who put everything in subjection (hypotaxantos | ὑποτάξαντος | aor act ptcp gen sg masc) to him.
the women are to be silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak. Rather, they are to be submissive (hypotassesthōsan | ὑποτασσέσθωσαν | pres pass imperative 3 pl), as in fact the law says.
Indeed, the spirits of prophets are (hypotassetai | ὑποτάσσεται | pres pass ind 3 sg) subject (hypotassetai | ὑποτάσσεται | pres pass ind 3 sg) to prophets,
Every person must (hypotassesthō | ὑποτασσέσθω | pres pass imperative 3 sg) be (hypotassesthō | ὑποτασσέσθω | pres pass imperative 3 sg) subject (hypotassesthō | ὑποτασσέσθω | pres pass imperative 3 sg) to (hypotassesthō | ὑποτασσέσθω | pres pass imperative 3 sg) the governing authorities because there is no authority except by God’s appointment, and those that presently exist have been instituted by God.
For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own, they (hypetagēsan | ὑπετάγησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) did (hypetagēsan | ὑπετάγησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) not submit (hypetagēsan | ὑπετάγησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) to God’s righteousness.
