But some arose from the party of the Pharisees (Pharisaiōn | Φαρισαίων | gen pl masc), believers, and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and order them to keep the law of Moses.”
But there stood up one in the council, a Pharisee (Pharisaios | Φαρισαῖος | nom sg masc) named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, respected by all the people, and he ordered them to put the men outside for a short time.
So Judas, having procured a detachment of soldiers and some officers from the chief priests and Pharisees (Pharisaiōn | Φαρισαίων | gen pl masc), went there with lanterns and torches and weapons.
Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees (Pharisaious | Φαρισαίους | acc pl masc) they would not confess it openly, lest they be expelled from the synagogue.

Then some of the Pharisees (Pharisaiōn | Φαρισαίων | gen pl masc) said, “This man is not from God because he does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a sinful man perform miraculous signs like this?” And there was a division among them.
