Then he said to Thomas, “Put (phere | φέρε | pres act imperative 2 sg) your finger here, and examine my hands; and reach (phere | φέρε | pres act imperative 2 sg) out your hand, and put it into my side. Do not continue in unbelief, but believe.”
Nicodemus, who earlier had come to Jesus at night, also came, bringing (pherōn | φέρων | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear (pherēte | φέρητε | pres act subj 2 pl) fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that the Father may give you whatever you ask in my name.
My Father is glorified in this, that you (pherēte | φέρητε | pres act subj 2 pl) bear (pherēte | φέρητε | pres act subj 2 pl) much fruit and become my disciples.
I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in me and I in him bears (pherei | φέρει | pres act ind 3 sg) much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Abide in me and I will abide in you. Just as the branch is not able to (pherein | φέρειν | pres act inf ) bear (pherein | φέρειν | pres act inf ) fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in me.
Every branch in me that bears (pheron | φέρον | pres act ptcp acc sg neut) no fruit he cuts off, but every branch that does (pheron | φέρον | pres act ptcp acc sg neut) bear (pheron | φέρον | pres act ptcp acc sg neut) fruit he prunes, so that it (pherē | φέρῃ | pres act subj 3 sg) may (pherē | φέρῃ | pres act subj 3 sg) bear (pherē | φέρῃ | pres act subj 3 sg) more fruit.
I tell you the solemn truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains a single kernel; but if it dies it (pherei | φέρει | pres act ind 3 sg) produces (pherei | φέρει | pres act ind 3 sg) a great harvest.
