What if God, willing to display his wrath and make known his power, has endured (ēnenken | ἤνεγκεν | aor act ind 3 sg) with great patience the objects of wrath prepared for destruction?
After hoisting it up, they passed cables under the ship to hold it together. Then, fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis, they lowered the sea anchor, and thus they let the ship be driven (epheronto | ἐφέροντο | imperf pass ind 3 pl) along.
