who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, by the Holy Spirit did say, ‘Why did the Gentiles rage (ephryaxan | ἐφρύαξαν | aor act ind 3 pl), and the peoples devise vain schemes?
who by the power of God are being guarded (phrouroumenous | φρουρουμένους | pres pass ptcp acc pl masc) through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Trustworthy is the saying, and I want you to insist emphatically on these things so that those who have believed in God might be intent on (phrontizōsin | φροντίζωσιν | pres act subj 3 pl) devoting themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for people.
The master commended the dishonest manager because he acted shrewdly (phronimōs | φρονίμως | adverb). For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.
We are fools for Christ, but you are men of wisdom (phronimoi | φρόνιμοι | nom pl masc) in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored!
