and the secrets of his heart are laid bare. Thus he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring, “God is really among you.” (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd)

I thank God I speak in tongues more than all of you (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd);

So it is with you (hymeis | ὑμεῖς | nom pl 2nd). Since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, seek to excel for the edification of the church.

So it is with you (hymeis | ὑμεῖς | nom pl 2nd); if you do not speak a clear message with your tongue, how will anyone know what is being said? You will be speaking into the air.

But as it is, brothers, if I come to you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) unless I impart to you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?

Now I would like all of you (hymas | ὑμᾶς | acc pl 2nd) to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may receive edification.

Set your hearts then on the higher gifts. And now I will show you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) a way that is beyond comparison.

Now you (hymeis | ὑμεῖς | nom pl 2nd) are Christ’s body and each of you is a member of it.

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd)

Therefore I want you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
