For I too am a man set under authority, having soldiers (stratiōtas | στρατιώτας | acc pl masc) under me: and I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

And the soldiers (stratiōtai | στρατιῶται | nom pl masc) led him away into the palace (that is, the praetorium) and they called together the whole company of soldiers.

And when the priests had met with the elders and worked out a plan, they gave a considerable sum of money to the soldiers (stratiōtais | στρατιώταις | dat pl masc)

Then the governor’s soldiers (stratiōtai | στρατιῶται | nom pl masc) took Jesus into the praetorium and gathered the entire garrison around him.

For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers (stratiōtas | στρατιώτας | acc pl masc) under me. I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.”

But God turned away and gave them over to worship the host (stratia | στρατιᾷ | dat sg fem) of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: ‘Did you bring to me slain beasts and sacrifices forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

And suddenly there was, with the angel, a multitude of the heavenly host (stratias | στρατιᾶς | gen sg fem), praising God and saying,

The constables reported these words to the magistrates (stratēgois | στρατηγοῖς | dat pl masc). And they were afraid when they heard that they were Roman citizens.

And the jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates (stratēgoi | στρατηγοί | nom pl masc) have sent orders to release you. So depart now and go in peace.”

But when it was day, the magistrates (stratēgoi | στρατηγοί | nom pl masc) sent their constables, saying, “Release those men.”
