For we also had good news proclaimed to us just as they did; but the word they heard did not benefit those who (synkekerasmenous | συγκεκερασμένους | perf pass ptcp acc pl masc) were (synkekerasmenous | συγκεκερασμένους | perf pass ptcp acc pl masc) not united (synkekerasmenous | συγκεκερασμένους | perf pass ptcp acc pl masc) with those who listened in faith

whereas our presentable members have no such need. Instead, God has so arranged (synekerasen | συνεκέρασεν | aor act ind 3 sg) the body, giving greater honor to the member that lacked it,

And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was counted (synkatepsēphisthē | συγκατεψηφίσθη | aor pass ind 3 sg) with the eleven apostles.

(He had not agreed (synkatatetheimenos | συγκατατεθειμένος | perf pass ptcp nom sg masc) with their decision or their action.) He was from the Jewish town of Arimathea, and was waiting expectantly for the kingdom of God.
