One of the servants of the high priest, a relative (syngenēs | συγγενής | nom sg masc) of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “I saw you in the garden with him, did I not?”
You will be handed over even by parents and brothers and relatives (syngenōn | συγγενῶν | gen pl masc) and friends, and some of you they will put to death.
Then he also said to the one who had invited him, “When you give a luncheon or a dinner do not invite your friends, or your brothers, or or rich neighbors, in case they also invite you in return, and there would be a repayment to you.
Thinking him to be in the caravan, they went a day’s journey, but then began looking for him among their relatives (syngeneusin | συγγενεῦσιν | dat pl masc) and acquaintances.
