And as he was going out on the road, a man ran up, and kneeling before him, asked him, “Good (agathe | ἀγαθέ | voc sg masc) teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
And he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good (agathon | ἀγαθόν | acc sg neut) or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?” But they remained silent.
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good (agathe | ἀγαθέ | voc sg masc) and faithful servant. You have been trustworthy in a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good (agathe | ἀγαθέ | voc sg masc) and faithful servant. You have been trustworthy in a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’
So those servants went out into the streets and gathered everyone they could find, rogues as well as honorable (agathous | ἀγαθούς | acc pl masc) men; and the wedding hall was packed with guests.
And Jesus replied “Why do you ask me about what is good (agathou | ἀγαθοῦ | gen sg neut)? There is only one who is good (agathos | ἀγαθός | nom sg masc). If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
The good (agathos | ἀγαθός | nom sg masc) man brings good (agatha | ἀγαθά | acc pl neut) things (agatha | ἀγαθά | acc pl neut) out of his good (agathou | ἀγαθοῦ | gen sg masc) treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil treasure.
