Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having in his hand the key to the abyss (abyssou | ἀβύσσου | gen sg fem) and a great chain.

The beast that you saw was, and now is not, but is about to rise from the abyss (abyssou | ἀβύσσου | gen sg fem) and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, will be astounded when they see the beast, because he was and is not, but is to come.

When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss (abyssou | ἀβύσσου | gen sg fem) will make war on them and conquer them and kill them,

They have as king over them the angel of the abyss (abyssou | ἀβύσσου | gen sg fem), whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.

He opened the shaft of the abyss (abyssou | ἀβύσσου | gen sg fem), and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a giant furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with smoke from the shaft.

The fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from the sky to the earth; and he was given the key to the shaft of the abyss (abyssou | ἀβύσσου | gen sg fem).

or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (abysson | ἄβυσσον | acc sg fem) (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).”

And they begged him not to order them to go away into the abyss (abysson | ἄβυσσον | acc sg fem).

just as Sarah obeyed Abraham (Abraam | Ἀβραάμ | dat sg masc), calling him “my lord.” You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not fear any intimidation.

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “And Abraham (Abraam | Ἀβραάμ | nom sg masc) believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.
