For what praise is there if, when you do wrong and are beaten for it, you endure it? But if when you do good (agathopoiountes | ἀγαθοποιοῦντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) and suffer for it you endure it, this is commendable in God’s sight.
But love your enemies, and do good (agathopoieite | ἀγαθοποιεῖτε | pres act imperative 2 pl), and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and evil.
And if you do good (agathopoiēte | ἀγαθοποιῆτε | pres act subj 2 pl) to those who love (agathopoiountas | ἀγαθοποιοῦντας | pres act ptcp acc pl masc) you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.
Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you whether it is lawful on the Sabbath to do good (agathopoiēsai | ἀγαθοποιῆσαι | aor act inf ) or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?”
yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good (agathourgōn | ἀγαθουργῶν | pres act ptcp nom sg masc), giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness.”
And one of them stood up, named Agabus (Hagabos | Ἅγαβος | nom sg masc), and indicated by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (which took place in the days of Claudius).
Then he threw him into the abyss (abysson | ἄβυσσον | acc sg fem), locked and sealed it over him, so he could not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were finished. After that he must be set loose for a short time.
