So then, even though I wrote to you, it was not on account of the offender (adikēsantos | ἀδικήσαντος | aor act ptcp gen sg masc), nor on account of the one offended (adikēthentos | ἀδικηθέντος | aor pass ptcp gen sg masc), but that your earnestness toward us might be revealed to you in the sight of God.

Make room for us in your hearts; we (ēdikēsamen | ἠδικήσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) have (ēdikēsamen | ἠδικήσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) wronged (ēdikēsamen | ἠδικήσαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) no one, we have corrupted no one, we have taken advantage of no one.

But you (adikeite | ἀδικεῖτε | pres act ind 2 pl) yourselves wrong (adikeite | ἀδικεῖτε | pres act ind 2 pl) and defraud, and this to your own brothers!

Already it is altogether a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged (adikeisthe | ἀδικεῖσθε | pres mid ind 2 pl)? Why not rather be defrauded?

If then I am a wrongdoer (adikō | ἀδικῶ | pres act ind 1 sg) and have done anything worthy of death, I am not trying to escape death; but if there is nothing to their charges against me, no one has a right to turn me over to them. I appeal to Caesar.”

Paul answered, “I am now standing before Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be tried.
