“Ask (aiteite | αἰτεῖτε | pres act imperative 2 pl) and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened for you.

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask (aitēsai | αἰτῆσαι | aor act inf ) him.

Give to the one who asks (aitounti | αἰτοῦντι | pres act ptcp dat sg masc) of you, and do not turn down the one who wants to borrow from you.

And now, dear children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame (aischunthōmen | αἰσχυνθῶμεν | aor pass subj 1 pl) in his presence when he comes.

For even if I boast about it, and more than that, about the authority which the Lord gave us for building you up and not for tearing you down, I (aischunthēsomai | αἰσχυνθήσομαι | fut pass ind 1 sg) will (aischunthēsomai | αἰσχυνθήσομαι | fut pass ind 1 sg) not be ashamed (aischunthēsomai | αἰσχυνθήσομαι | fut pass ind 1 sg).

wild waves of the sea, casting up their shameful deeds (aischunas | αἰσχύνας | acc pl fem) like foam; wandering stars for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.
