When they heard this, they lifted (ēran | ἦραν | aor act ind 3 pl) their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, you who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them,
Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who is it that you are looking for?” Thinking that he was the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you are the one who carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will (arō | ἀρῶ | fut act ind 1 sg) take (arō | ἀρῶ | fut act ind 1 sg) him away.” (arō | ἀρῶ | fut act ind 1 sg)
They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken (ēran | ἦραν | aor act ind 3 pl) away my Master, and I do not know where they have put him.”
So she went running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken (ēran | ἦραν | aor act ind 3 pl) our Master out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have put him!”
Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and she saw the stone removed (ērmenon | ἠρμένον | perf pass ptcp acc sg masc) from the tomb.
After this Joseph of Arimathea, a disciple of Jesus (though a secret one due to his fear of the Jews) asked Pilate if he could remove (arē | ἄρῃ | aor act subj 3 sg) the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission, so he came and removed (ēren | ἦρεν | aor act ind 3 sg) the body.
Then, since it was the day of Preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate to have the legs of the crucified men broken and their bodies taken (arthōsin | ἀρθῶσιν | aor pass subj 3 pl) down.
But they shouted, “Away (aron | ἆρον | aor act imperative 2 sg) with him! Away (aron | ἆρον | aor act imperative 2 sg) with him! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your king?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!”
So for now you have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will (airei | αἴρει | pres act ind 3 sg) take (airei | αἴρει | pres act ind 3 sg) your joy from you.
