“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites (hypokritai | ὑποκριταί | nom pl masc), for they love to pray standing in synagogues and on street corners that they may be seen by others. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward.
So whenever you give alms do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites (hypokritai | ὑποκριταί | nom pl masc) do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward.
And the rest of the Jews joined him in playing the hypocrite, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy (hypokrisei | ὑποκρίσει | dat sg fem).
In the meantime, when many thousands of the crowd had gathered so that they were trampling one another, Jesus began to say (to his disciples first), “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy (hypokrisis | ὑπόκρισις | nom sg fem).
So they watched him closely and sent spies who pretended (hypokrinomenous | ὑποκρινομένους | pres mid ptcp acc pl masc) to be righteous so they could catch him in his word, and in this way deliver him to the jurisdiction and authority of the governor.
Then a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under (hypokatō | ὑποκάτω | improper prep-gen) her feet, and on her head was a crown of twelve stars.
