John gave an answer to all, saying, “I indeed baptize you with water, but there is coming one who is mightier than I, of whom I am not worthy to untie the thong of his sandals (hypodēmatōn | ὑποδημάτων | gen pl neut). He it is who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

And he was proclaiming, saying, is coming “The one who is more powerful than I is coming after me; not I am not worthy to stoop down and untie the thong of his sandals (hypodēmatōn | ὑποδημάτων | gen pl neut). his

or a bag for your journey, or two tunics, or sandals (hypodēmata | ὑποδήματα | acc pl neut), or a staff; for the worker deserves to be fed.

“I baptize you with water for repentance, but the one who comes after me is greater than I — I am not worthy even to remove his sandals (hypodēmata | ὑποδήματα | acc pl neut). He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

by fitting (hypodēsamenoi | ὑποδησάμενοι | aor mid ptcp nom pl masc) your feet with the readiness of the gospel of peace;

And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put (hypodēsai | ὑπόδησαι | aor mid imperative 2 sg) on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around yourself and follow me.”

but to go having put (hypodedemenous | ὑποδεδεμένους | perf mid ptcp acc pl masc) on sandals. Then he added, “Do not put on two tunics.”

And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works when she took in (hypodexamenē | ὑποδεξαμένη | aor mid ptcp nom sg fem) the spies and sent them out by another way?

and Jason has (hypodedektai | ὑποδέδεκται | perf mid ind 3 sg) received (hypodedektai | ὑποδέδεκται | perf mid ind 3 sg) them as (hypodedektai | ὑποδέδεκται | perf mid ind 3 sg) guests (hypodedektai | ὑποδέδεκται | perf mid ind 3 sg); and all these men are acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus.”

So he hurried and climbed down and welcomed (hypedexato | ὑπεδέξατο | aor mid ind 3 sg) him, rejoicing.
