When the ruling priests and the Pharisees (Pharisaioi | Φαρισαῖοι | nom pl masc) heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them.

Some Pharisees (Pharisaioi | Φαρισαῖοι | nom pl masc) came to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause?”

Then they understood that he had not told them to beware of the leaven of bread but of the teaching of the Pharisees (Pharisaiōn | Φαρισαίων | gen pl masc) and Sadducees.

How is it that you do not understand that I was not speaking about bread? Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees (Pharisaiōn | Φαρισαίων | gen pl masc) and Sadducees.”

Jesus said to them, “Watch out, and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees (Pharisaiōn | Φαρισαίων | gen pl masc) and Sadducees.”

Now when the Pharisees (Pharisaioi | Φαρισαῖοι | nom pl masc) and Sadducees came to test Jesus, they asked him to show them a sign from heaven.

Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees (Pharisaioi | Φαρισαῖοι | nom pl masc) were offended when they heard what you said?”

Then Pharisees (Pharisaioi | Φαρισαῖοι | nom pl masc) and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying,

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees (Pharisaiōn | Φαρισαίων | gen pl masc) answered him, saying, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.”

But when the Pharisees (Pharisaioi | Φαρισαῖοι | nom pl masc) heard this, they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons.”
