Then turning toward the woman, he (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg) said (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg) to Simon, “You see this woman? I came into your house; you did not provide water for my feet, but she has bathed my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

And Jesus, answering, said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he said (phēsin | φησίν | pres act ind 3 sg), “Teacher, say it.”

Peter said (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg) to him, “Even though they all fall away, I will not!”

Jesus said (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg) to them, “Are you not mistaken for this reason, that you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God?

Jesus said (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg), “I tell you the truth, there is no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel

And the man said (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg) to him, “Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.”

John said (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg) to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him because he was not following us.”

And he said (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg) to them, “Elijah does come first, and restores all things. Yet how is it written about the Son of Man? That he should suffer many things and be treated with contempt?

Pilate said (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg) to them, “Take a guard of soldiers; go and make it as secure as you know how.”

Pilate asked (ephē | ἔφη | imperf act ind 3 sg), “But what crime has he committed?” But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”
