But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet (phimōthēti | φιμώθητι | aor pass imperative 2 sg), and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.
So he got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Be still! Settle (pephimōso | πεφίμωσο | perf pass imperative 2 sg) down!” Then the wind died down and there was a great calm. great
Now in the region around that place were fields belonging to the leading man of the island, by name Publius, who welcomed us and for three days entertained us hospitably (philophronōs | φιλοφρόνως | adverb).
Make it your aim (philotimeisthai | φιλοτιμεῖσθαι | pres mid inf ) to lead a quiet life, to attend to your own affairs, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.
And thus I have always made it my aim (philotimoumenon | φιλοτιμούμενον | pres mid ptcp acc sg masc) to preach the gospel, not where Christ was known, lest I should build on someone else’s foundation;
