save others by snatching them out of the fire; and have mercy on others with fear (phobō | φόβῳ | dat sg masc), hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
There is no fear (phobos | φόβος | nom sg masc) in love, but perfect love drives out fear (phobon | φόβον | acc sg masc) because fear (phobos | φόβος | nom sg masc) has to do with punishment. So the one who fears has not been perfected in love.
But do it with gentleness and respect (phobou | φόβου | gen sg masc), maintaining a clear conscience, so that in the very thing for which you are being slandered, those who are reviling your good conduct in Christ will be put to shame.
Household servants should be subject to their masters with all respect (phobō | φόβῳ | dat sg masc), not only to the good and kind but also to the unjust.
And if you call upon him as Father who judges impartially according to the work of each, conduct yourselves with fear (phobō | φόβῳ | dat sg masc) during the time of your exile,
So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more now in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear (phobou | φόβου | gen sg masc) and trembling,
