O Timothy, guard (phylaxon | φύλαξον | aor act imperative 2 sg) the deposit entrusted to you, avoiding the unholy chatter and contradictions of what is falsely named “knowledge,”
I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels that you (phylaxēs | φυλάξῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) keep (phylaxēs | φυλάξῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) these things without prejudging, doing nothing with partiality.
For even those who are circumcised do (phylassousin | φυλάσσουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) not themselves keep (phylassousin | φυλάσσουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) the law, but they want you to be circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh.
Therefore if the uncircumcised man keeps (phylassē | φυλάσσῃ | pres act subj 3 sg) the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision?

Take these men and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses that they may shave their heads, and everyone will know that there is nothing in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself walk keeping (phylassōn | φυλάσσων | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) the law.
