Crying out in a loud voice (phōnē | φωνῇ | dat sg fem), loud he exclaimed, “What have you to do with me, you Jesus, Son of the God? Most High God? Swear to God that you will not torment me!”
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice (phōnē | φωνῇ | dat sg fem), saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” — which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them and a voice (phōnē | φωνή | nom sg fem) from the cloud said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, in whom I am well pleased; listen to him!”
For this is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet when he said, ‘The voice (phōnē | φωνή | nom sg fem) of one crying out in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.’”
