So for now you have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy (charan | χαράν | acc sg fem) from you.

When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come; but when the baby is born, she no longer remembers the anguish, because of the joy (charan | χαράν | acc sg fem) that a child has been born into the world.

I tell you the solemn truth, you will weep and wail, and the world will rejoice; you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy (charan | χαράν | acc sg fem).

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy (chara | χαρά | nom sg fem) may be in you and that your joy (chara | χαρά | nom sg fem) may be complete.

It is the bridegroom who has the bride; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly (chara | χαρᾷ | dat sg fem) when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy (chara | χαρά | nom sg fem) of mine is now complete.

And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy (charas | χαρᾶς | gen sg fem),

While they still could not believe it for joy (charas | χαρᾶς | gen sg fem) and were continuing to marvel, he said to them, “Have you anything to eat here?”

Just so, I tell you, there is joy (chara | χαρά | nom sg fem) before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

I tell you, in the same way there will be more joy (chara | χαρά | nom sg fem) in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.

The seventy-two returned with joy (charas | χαρᾶς | gen sg fem), saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
