But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) to death, because they are convinced that John was a prophet.”

and spoke to him, saying, “Tell us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) by what authority you are doing these things; or who it is who gave you this authority?”

But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this person to rule over us.’ (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st)

Then Peter said, “Look, we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) have left what was ours and followed you.”

They raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st)

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) faith!”

Besides all this, between us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) and you a great chasm has been put in place, so that those wishing to cross over from here to you are not able, and no one can cross from there to us.’ (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st)

Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) streets.’

“Once the owner of the house has risen and shut the door, and you are left standing outside, knocking at the door, saying, ‘Sir, open the door for us!’ (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) then he will respond to you, ‘I do not know you or where you are from.’

Then Peter said, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) or to everyone?”
