Then the Jews began to argue with one another, “How can this man give us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) his flesh to eat?”

And they were saying, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) know? How can he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

So they said to him, “Sir, give us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) this bread from now on!”

Our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) fathers ate manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”

The Jews therefore replied, saying to him, “What sign can you show us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) to prove your authority to do all this?”
