So Thomas (called the Twin), said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) may die with him.”

These things he said, and after that he told them, “Our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him from sleep.”

The Jews surrounded him and asked, “How much longer will you provoke us (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) to anger? If you are the Christ, tell us (hēmin | ἡμῖν | dat pl 1st) plainly.”

Some of the Pharisees who were near him heard this, and said to him, “Surely we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) are not blind too, are we?”

They replied to him, saying, “You were born completely in sin, and would you lecture us?” (hēmas | ἡμᾶς | acc pl 1st) So they threw him out.

We (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this fellow, we do not even know where he comes from.”

Then they scoffed at him, saying, “You are a disciple of that man! But we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) are disciples of Moses!

So for the second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, “Give the glory to God! We (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) know that this man is a sinner.”

but how it is that he now sees we do not know, nor do we (hēmeis | ἡμεῖς | nom pl 1st) know who opened his eyes. Ask him, he is an adult. He will speak for himself.”

His parents answered, saying, “We know that this is our (hēmōn | ἡμῶν | gen pl 1st) son and that he was born blind;
